Book

I started writing a book a view years back, I had a good start but have not written much lately. I thought I would put the beginnings on my blog for some inspiration and perhaps people could tell me whether or not its sucks too much. SO without further explanation here is the beginning thus far.

Through this book I plan to blow definitions apart. I never liked the idea of being defined by AIDS. Whether it was AIDS victim, AIDS patient, along with many other creative names. While labeling can be great help with organizing, I find it limiting. I never liked being defined by HIV/AIDS because yes it has been involved in my entire life but it is not My life, it does not define who I am. For me I rather say yes I have HIV then yes I am HIV positive. In my life I have seen the many affects of HIV, good and bad. Being brought up in a Christian background, this book describes a lot of how Christians have reacted to the disease. While most reactions were negative as I describe them, I describe to share and hopefully educate. While I have mostly experienced the opposite, I would love to hear that in future years Christians react the best to the disease and help those in need instead of ignoring or shunning them no matter the situation. I am finding as I age that while I value education, just cause a person is educated about the disease doesn’t mean they won’t react the same as someone who is ignorant. I understand it is scary. I hope that through this book it can help those who are fearful learn to have some backbone. This book has become therapy for me in some ways, and hopefully it can help others as well. By helping others I do not just mean those with HIV or a Christian background but also for those who have just gotten through life and not lived it. That’s what I have been doing the majority of my life I put my emotions aside and just got through this thing they call life. Now I am looking back and seeing what really happened.

First Blog

I was not usually that interested in blogging but I thought why not give it a try this summer. I have one the stranger life stories as most people would put it. Therefore, my blogs might be a bit odd and maybe just plain weird.
The semester finally ended last week and I am excited that I was able to get all A's. I really need a vacation though but I am not sure if that is going to happen this summer or not. However, there are many items on the list for the summer: Mary's Bridal Shower, Bachelorette Party, Then the Wedding, a summer class, working at the vern, working for the hole, camp dreamcatcher, and much more.
